Malnutrition

When your body is consistently not given the amount and type of nutrients it requires to stay healthy,
we call this ‘malnutrition’ or ‘poor nutrition’.
This imbalance can be brought about by
overnutrition (leading to overweight and obesity) or by
undernutrition from starvation, illness or injury.
If you have lost a lot of weight in a short time and are not on a slimming diet,
you should be assessed as you may be undernourished
