Around 5-10% of children (including one of mine) and 2-4% of adults in Australia and New Zealand are allergic to foods like egg, cow's milk, peanuts, tree nuts, sesame, soy, wheat, seafood. 
However, almost any food can cause an
allergic reaction.
Anaphylaxis is the most severe type of allergic reaction and can be fatal if not responded to promptly.
